Interior Painting - Lambeth 07.25

Repainting a two-bedroom flat just round the corner from me. This was a fantastic opportunity, working for some great clients. There were a lot of laughs, bacon butties, and almost tears at some points! But the end result was definitely worth it, even if it was just for the butties.

If memory serves me well, the clients exclusively used Farrow & Ball paint in their Dead Flat finish. This is their most matt finish and gives a very muted, flat effect (as the name suggests). For the living space wall colour, they opted for Naperon. Personally, I think they made a cracking choice here. Not only does it blend smoothly into their existing wallpaper, it also provides a gentle warmth to the space.

Meanwhile, the ceiling and woodwork were repainted in Pointing. I found this really complimented the walls, even if the ceiling proved to be a challenge (the light coming from the front windows was less than forgiving).

Some shots of the kitchen area. Not much else to say really apart from cool artwork.

Setting Plaster was the colour of choice for the majority of the hallway. Again, I really like this shade. Sadly I can't take credit for choosing it though.

Originally, the plan was to paint this wall in Naperon, like the rest of the living area. However, we opted for Setting Plaster in the end. This was probably for the best, as one client 'helped' me with the small tear in the wall by stripping the whole shelf back to bare plaster anyway. I say this in jest as the end result still turned out great, obviously! (Now I've posted this, I'm fully expecting a smack when I next see them).

Next up was the spare bedroom. I actually liked the colours how they were, but I'm a sucker for a dark green. And no matter how much you first like the colour of a room, it's only a matter of time before it gets boring. The bulk of the walls were repainted with Stirabout, with a feature wall in Sulking Room Pink. With a colour choice like that for the spare room, the jokes write themselves really.

Finally the master bedroom. Again, this had a feature wall in Oval Room Blue, with the rest of the walls in Calluna. I also freshened up the ceilings and woodwork with All White.

Initially, I didn't think much of Calluna as a colour - I thought it was a simple grey but it turns out that it's a very subtle lilac! You can just about see this on the right wall in the after picture above.
